Ultrasound is an advanced form of imaging that utilizes sound waves to produce images. The strength of ultrasound is the fact that it can be directed at specific organs or areas of concern and utilizes only sound waves to produce images.
MORE INFORMATION
Our facility uses the latest generation ultrasound unit from the world’s largest medical imaging company to ensure the most accurate results. Some ultrasound exams may require a short period of time without food or possibly increased fluid intake prior to exam. While ultrasound is most known for pregnancy exams it is used throughout the body for diagnosis. In most cases patients can remain in street clothes for ultrasound exams. A typical ultrasound exam may require twenty to thirty minutes of exam time. Immediately upon completion your exam will be digitally sent to our onsite radiologist for reading and a report will be delivered to your provider without delay.
